Ukrainische Chöre der Musikschule Bochum

Seit Mai 2022 bietet die professionelle Sängerin Svitlana Novak geflüchteten Menschen aus der Ukraine Singangebote an. Diese Angebote werden durch das Projekt Heimat: Musik des Landesverbandes der Musikschulen in NRW ermöglicht. Inzwischen sind vier Chorgruppen mit Sängern und Sängerinnen aus dem ganzen Ruhrgebiet entstanden – von Kinderchor bis Erwachsenenchor. Insgesamt sind es etwa 60 Sänger:innen, die gemeinsam auf der Bühne performen. Mit ihren choreografischen und tänzerischen Einlagen faszinieren sie ihr Publikum. Durch ihre zahlreichen Auftritte sind sie inzwischen auch über Bochum hinaus bekannt geworden.

The Greek Association Griechische Vereinigung Bochum e.V. is a vibrant and diverse community dedicated to promoting Greek culture and traditions.

Since its founding in 1984, the association has played a significant role in spreading and preserving Greek values, customs, and traditions. A central component is the traditional dance group, which is the heart of the association. It consists of dancers of all generations, Greek and non-Greek, who passionately present the diversity of Greek dances. Their performances are both artistic presentations and a lively expression of Greek identity and connection to their culture.

The dances performed by the group reflect the cultural diversity of Greece. From Epirus to Thrace, from Pontos to Macedonia, and from Crete to Cyprus, each dance tells a story! The dance group participates in various events (cultural festivals, city festivals, and private celebrations) and also offers dance classes and workshops, providing interested individuals with the opportunity to learn the corresponding dances through theory and practice.
